SuperHii brings self-checkout shopping carts to Taiwan supermarkets

Recently, self-checkout shopping cart startup SuperHii brought its smart carts to Taiwan Yumaowu supermarket, which locates at No. 150, Gongyi Road, West District, Taizhong City, Taiwan.

This makes Yumaowu supermarket become the first intelligent store that has deployed self-checkout shopping carts in Taiwan. This is also a landmark deployment in SuperHii market expansion.

The SuperHii self-checkout shopping carts provide customers with a self-service shopping journey and also make some changes to Yumaowu supermarket.

The SuperHii self-checkout shopping cart uses computer vision algorithms and a bar code scanner as well as weight sensors to recognize items customers aim to the bar code scanner. Then the self-checkout shopping carts display items’ price information on the touchable screen.

When customers have done shopping, the self-checkout shopping carts display the calculation of the total cost of the purchase, customers can make payment on the self-checkout kiosks that are integrated with the carts.

This means customers can skip the checkout line and simply scan, pay, and go. The fast, convenient, and smooth shopping experience inspired more customers to use this technology.
